James Slorach Jr was born in 1890 in Landsborough, Pyrenees Shire County, Victoria Australia to James Slorach and Sarah (Scott) Slorach McCracken, and had siblings Keith Slorach, Daisy Slorach, John Hendry Slorach, Allan Slorach, and May McLennan. He married Edith Kate (Mitchell) Slorach, and died at age 64 years old in 1954 at Eden Park in Whittlesea County, Victoria,. James Slorach was buried at Yan Yean Cemetery in Yan Yean, Whittlesea City County, VIC.

    The Ballarat Star. 10th May 1919. MARRIAGES. SLORACH.- MITCHELL. The marriage of Mr. James Slorach, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Slorach, of Joel Joel, to Miss Edith Mitchell, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell, of Daylesford, was quietly celebrated in St. Matthew's Presbyterian Church, Stawell, on Easter Monday morning. The Rev. H. C. Matthew, M.A., officiated in the presence of relatives of the contracting parties.
