The Rev. J. Walter Martin Husband of Thelma Monroe Martin, Father of Jimmy, Nancy, Charlie, Christine, Norman, Larry and Richard Martin. A life long resident of Tar Heel, NC Ham Radio Operator "W4EJR - Jim" Walter as he was known was Pastor of Love Grove Baptist Church located in Tar Heel, He was a the organ player at the church for many years after he resigned from Pastor. His body was taken to the church and remained till removal following the funeral services. This was the first to have this honor by the church.
