Introduction

He was my mother's grandpa. He was originally married to Ida Maude Rickard, and they had 10 natural children; including Isabel Vezealea (aka Anne), Archibald (aka Archie), Joyce, Agnes Mervina (aka Mervie), Nancy, Veronica May (aka Ronnie), Albert (aka Bertie died in world war II and buried at Ambon), James Norman (uncle Jimmy),Dorothy Jean (aka Dot- my grandmother) Jack and one adopted? John whom Auntie Anne (Isabel) had brought home from the hospital. Ida passed away when my nan Dorothy was 12 years old ie approx 1935; illness and suddenly. found a newspaper archive of obituary once online. My nan Dorothy helped to look after him when she was 12, in Deniliquin NSW Australia. They lived in Davidson st Deniliquin- big old white house with grey roof. The Maher family (cousins) later moved into house. We only had one photo of him with my mother and her cousins. He died in 1968 ? in a housefire in Shepparton- while staying with his younger son Jack. His granddaughter's (Jack's girls) escaped the fire; just prior to my own parents' marriage in Deniliquin. He remarried in a mary mahon in 1943 and registered with NSW but I think she died prior to him as he was looked after by Myrna and Jack; 22137/1943 TAIT JAMES WILLIAM MAHON MARY MAUD DENILIQUIN
