YOKOPENIC, JANET E. (LASHER) age 51, of Marguerite, died Thursday, May 16, 2002 at home. Born April 22, 1951 in Oakmont, daughter of Robert and Lillian (Pearce) Lasher of St. Petersburg, FL. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Richard Yokopenic; a brother, Robert Lasher, Jr. of Tarentum and a sister, Lorraine Kolson of Secane, PA. A Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Marguerite, Saturday at 10am. Interment in Unity Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Breast Cancer Research at Magee Women's Hospital, Forbes Ave. & Halket St., Pittsburgh, PA 15213. (Lasher) Yokopenic, 51, of Latrobe RD3 (Marguerite), died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at home. She was born April 22, 1951, in Oakmont, a daughter of Robert and Lillian (Pearce) Lasher of St. Petersburg, Fla. She had worked in the fiscal department of the Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church of Marguerite. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Richard Yokopenic; a brother, Robert Lasher Jr. of Tarentum; a sister, Lorraine Kolson of Secane, Pa.; a special aunt, Anna Ulishney of Marguerite; her brothers- and sisters-in-law who helped care for her; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or viewing. A rosary prayer service will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. in St. Benedict Catholic Church, Marguerite. Family and friends are also invited to attend a funeral Mass Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict Catholic Church with the Rev. John F. Murtha, O.S.B., as celebrant. Please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township. The family suggests memorial contributions to Breast Cancer Research at Magee-Women’s Hospital, Pittsburgh.
