Janet Richardson Whitbourne Varney 1864 - 1947

Janet Richardson (Whitbourne) Varney of Bairnsdale, East Gippsland Shire County, VIC Australia was born in 1864 in Gipp to John Whitbourne and Ellen Scott Whitbourne. She had siblings Margaret Whitburn, Emma Charter Whitbourne, Agnes Ellen Whitbourne, Susan Whitbourne, Charles William Whitbourne, Alice Maude Whitbourne, Grace Arabella Whitbourne, Edward Dennis Whitbourne, Henry Ernt Whitbourne, and John Thomas Whitbourne. She married Thomas Edward Varney in 1883, and had children Clara Ellen Varney, Lydia Jane Varney, Lydia Jane Somerville, Susan Agnes Varney, and John Thomas Alf Varney. Janet Varney died at age 82 years old on December 17, 1947 in Bairnsdale.
