This man was my father. He and my mother divorced in 1965. I was adopted by my mother's next husband Calvin Hannes, around 1970 and my last name was changed to Hannes; he's my dad.
I met my bio-father again in 1982. He was a good man. I spent time with him, but not as much as I would have liked. His death was untimely and unexpected.
He was a very talented dental technician and jeweler. I watched him create crowns and dentures that were really, works of art. It was his gift. He was VERY patient and kind. A true gentleman and a Christian, active in his church and sound technician there.
He loved fast cars, motorcycles, fishing, his wife Paula, his children and grand-children.
I miss you Pappy.
