Jason Nelson Robards Jr. was born on July 26, 1922 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois United States to Jason Nelson Robards Sr. and Hope Maxine Milburn, and had a brother Glenn Arnold Robards. He married Eleanor Joan Robards on May 7, 1948 in New York City, New York County, New York and they later divorced in 1958 in New York City. They had children Jason Nelson Robards III, Sarah Louise Robards, and David William Robards. He also married Rachel Lynn Robards on April 26, 1959 in New York City, New York County and they later divorced on May 22, 1961 in New York City. He and Lauren Bacall married on July 4, 1961 in New York City, New York County and they later divorced in 1969 in New York City. They had a child Samuel Prideaux Robards. He and Lois Elaine Robards married on February 14, 1970 in New York City, New York County, and they were married until Jason's death on December 26, 2000 in Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut. They had children Shannon O'Neill Davidson and Jake O'Neill Robards.
