Both families moved to El Paso, Texas approximately in the 1950s-to-1960s-time frame. My parents, Gerard Drouin and Maria Leticia Mendias, met in high school (Irvin).

I retired from the El Paso Sheriff's Office-1993 to 2015 I retired from the Navy Reserve (MN2) Mineman- 1999 to 2020 I worked as a Child Protective Investigator for the State of Texas-2019 to 2022 I also worked as a veterinarian assistant for a couple of years and delivered car parts for a short period of time.
