Jean E Singagliese of Hoboken, Hudson County, NJ was born on February 14, 1920 to Albert Sarpa and Margaret 'Macrina' (Rumano) Sarpa. She had siblings Josephine La Rocco, Mary Martino, Thomas Sarpa, Kay Mellone, and Gloria Brennan. She married Joseph J. Singagliese, and had children Margaret Carol Singagliese and Barbara J. (Singagliese) Rotondi. Jean Singagliese died at age 87 years old on May 12, 2007.

Jean, who was originally from Jersey City, but moved to Hoboken after she married in 1948, was a very positive, funny, and loving woman. She was happily married to Joe for 52 years and was well-loved by her daughters, Barbara and Margaret, and by her large family and various friends.
