    Mrs. Jean G. VonKennel Hay, 90, of Lebanon, died Friday, June 18, 2010, at Parkwood Health Care Center in Lebanon. Mrs. Hay was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Muncie. She was the daughter of the late Harry Phillip and Dorothy (Steel) VonKennel. She graduated from Miami of Ohio University with a bachelor of science degree in business, and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She was married to H. H. (Bud) Hay in 1941. Mr. Hay died in 1992. Mr. and Mrs. Hay owned and operated an accounting business in Lebanon for 30 years. They lived in Thorntown, where they raised their six children, Martha (Mike) Streibig of Orlando, Fla., Judy (Jerry) Stohler of Carmel, Mike (Nancy) Hay of Gilbert, Ariz., Ellen (Greg) Brown of Davidson, N.C., Amy (Dick) Marino of Jacksonville, Fla., and Nancy (David) Tripp of Greenville, S.C. She is survived by 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Mary Boiman and Gloria Black. Her brothers, Harry and Charles VonKennel preceded her in death. Jean was a member of the Methodist churches in Thorntown and Lebanon, the Order of Eastern Star and P.E.O. sisterhood. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Private graveside services will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
