MERIDEN - Jean (Thuotte) Bauchman, 79, formerly of Hamilton Street, the widow of Richard Bauchman, passed away peacefully at Sheriden Woods in Bristol on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, after a long and difficult journey with Alzheimer's Disease. Jean was born on Sept. 19, 1930 in Meriden, to the late Hector and Ruth (Hayes) Thuotte. Jean lived in Meriden all of her life except for her last months at Sheriden Woods in Bristol. She graduated with honors from Meriden High School in 1948. She enjoyed a long career at International Silver Co., until its closing. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Eleanor Thuotte, of Greenacres, Fla.; a nephew, Robert W. Thuotte, of Bloomfield; three nieces, Melissa Marchetti, of Meriden, Ellen Frederick, of Berlin, and Jill Fitzgerald, of Bristol. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert J. Thuotte, of Meriden. The funeral will be held on Friday, July 30, at 11 a.m., at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.
