  • Introduction

    Jeane joined the U.S. Army National Guard. She received her commission upon graduation as U.S. Army Officer. She went to Fort Lee, Virginia, Quartermaster Officer School receiving a diploma upon completion. Jeane's assigned duty station was in the 77th Maintenance Company, Supply Support Activity (SSA) in Babenhausen, Germany. She served as a platoon leader and as an accountable officer. Jeane was moved to the 85th Maintenance Battalion, Headquarters Headquarters Detachment in Hanau as the Battalion Acting S-4 and then to the Material Readiness Office overseeing the SSAs of the 77th, 595th and 699th Maintenance Companies. Jeanette also worked as a counselor at Southern High School for a couple of years. She wanted to be a full time Domestic Engineer and continued to work and teach her children.

  • Early Life & Education

    Jeane's father was in the U.S. Air Force. So, it is noted that as a military family, Permanent Change of Station(PCS) happens every three years. They were leaving the Island of Guam and PCS to Clark Air Force Base and lived in New Balibago, Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines. The family then PCS to the U.S. It was the summer of '69 when they stopped in California to visit her mother's family in Long Beach and her father's family in Carson City. It was a great summer for the family of nine(9) to see close relatives. It was also a time where they must move to their new duty station. It was a long drive from California to Washington D.C. There were 9 of them plus their God-brother in a brand new Chevrolet station wagon. Imagine that, all 10 with the ages ranging from 0 to 39 years. They made it all the way to Norfolk, Virginia where the kids stayed with their Aunt's family while Jeane's parents looked for a house to live in D.C. Finally, they moved to their new residence at 454 Newcomb Street at summer's end. Jeanette started School Year 1970-71 in 1st grade at Congress Heights Elementary School at 3100 Nichols Avenue (Martin Luther King Jr Avenue today) Washington D.C. There were four of her siblings that also attended this school. By 1970, the school’s building structure deteriorated and a new school, Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School, was built directly across the street on 3200 6th St SE, Alabama Avenue where she was promoted to 2nd grade. It was the end of her father's tour and his next duty was to go to war in Viet Nam. It was the ending of SY 1972-73 when they moved to Umatac, Guam while her father went off to war in Da Nang, Viet Nam. Jeane attended F.Q. Sanchez Elementary School finishing 2nd grade. After she finished fifth grade, her family moved to the village of Agat where she finished her grade school year in Agat Elementary. She loved going to school as well as going to summer school. 7th grade at Agat Junior High School was exciting for Jeane. She wanted to go with her older sister and meet students from other schools. As the year was coming to an end, a devastating typhoon destroyed the school and many other buildings throughout the island. Makeshift schedules for SY 1976-77 were made for some schools. That being Agueda I. Johnston Jr. High was scheduled for the morning session and Agat Jr. High was scheduled for the afternoon session. 8th grade was fun for Jeane. School started in the afternoon and come home in the evening meant plenty of time to finish her homework and watch late TV. That all changed when Jeane and her sister Eileen went to a prestigious, all-girls Catholic school in the capital city, Agana, Academy of Our Lady of Guam(AOLG). She knew only five girls in that school and they all transferred out within the first semester. To her surprise, it was totally different from public school! Uniforms were worn, with Female Sadie Oxford Shoes, Mass during religious holidays, special occasions, and other ceremonies. Each grade level had about 320 girls. There were Nuns as her teachers and lots of restrictions for the schools. Religion was a requirement for Catholic students, showers were mandatory after P.E. classes, and a few other rules that may be charged by paying a fee. There are great comraderies amongst the girls that went to this great school. Not once did Jeane ever seen a physical fight throughout her years there. It is a great school to send a daughter to. Jeane went all four years without regrets. From there Jeane attended the University of Guam. She graduated with a psychology major and was a Distinguished Military Graduate. Jeane received her commission in the U.S. Army on May 22, 1985. She continued her military studies as a Quartermaster Officer and received her diploma in 1986. Jeane was transferred to the 85th Maintenance Battalion Headquarters Headquarters Detachment(HHD) as an assistant S-4. Jeane was then shifted to the Material Release Office in support of the Battalion SSAs.

Jeane received her Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist, and Conformation, Godmother: Mariquita Quinata Santiago (San Dionisio Roman Catholic Church, Umatac, Guam.) Jeane is active with Church in Colorado Springs, CO.

She received her diploma in 1986 as a military Quartermaster Officer. Jeane was assigned to 3rd COSCOM, 85th Maintenance Battalion, 77th Maintenance Company's new Supply Support Activity(SSA) in Babenhausen, Germany as an Accountable Officer and a Platoon Leader. Jeane attended V Corps Contracting Officer's course in Vilsek, Germany and received a Certification as a Contracting Officer. Her SSA also received "SSA of the Quarter" award within a year of operation from 3rd COSCOM. Jeane was transferred to the 85th Maintenance Battalion Headquarters Headquarters Detachment(HHD) as an assistant S-4 then shifted to the Material Release Office in support of the Battalion SSAs: 77th, Babenhausen, 596th, Darmstadt, 699th, Hanau.

    After completing high school, Jeane served in the U.S. Army as a Quartermaster Officer(92B) and then worked in the Government of Guam's Department of Education as a High School counselor. She wanted to be a full-time mother to work with her children and watch them grow.

    Jeane was involved with Women of the Catholic Church in Wiesbaden (WOC), Church Choir, Youth group sports, Active parent in Cub Scout (Wiesbaden), Volunteer Reconciliation teacher CCD, Salvation Army volunteer, Parent participation in Upi Elementary School, Guam, Active parishioner in Colorado Springs, CO.

Here is my wife Jeane.
This is Jeane in the University of Guam Reserve Officer Training Corps. They were number one in the Pacific Region. She graduated with a major in psychology and as a Distinguished Military Graduate.
Jeane joined the U.S. Army and was a Quartermaster Officer (92B). She was stationed at Babenhausen, Germany in the 77th Maintenance Company and then moved to HHD, 85th Maintenance Battalion at Hanau, Germany. After serving her time in the U.S. Army, she went to Guam and worked in the Department of Education as a counselor at Southern High School.
