I was dating Brigadier General Patchen's cousin, Sue Liedorff, in the mid 1960s. Her father George Ira Liedorff was Patchen's uncle. I had the honor of meeting General Patchen at the Liedorff's home in Norwalk, Ohio in 1966. He was a very polite and friendly as I recall. When he found out I was an Air Force ROTC cadet, he became very interested in talking with me and we carried on a conversation about the military and the on-going Viet Nam War. I'm sorry I didn't have another occasion to talk with him. I send my sincerest condolences to his family and wish you the very best. Terry Marlow
