    Jeffrey E. Nevels Obituary Condolences Jeffrey E. Nevels Jeffrey E. Nevels, 40, was born in Akron, Ohio, December 5, 1967 to Sharon L. Nevels. He departed this life journey January 23, 2008 in Covington, Ga., along with his special friend Rachel. Jeffrey grew up in Ohio and was educated in the Akron Public School System. At an early age Jeffrey attended First Apostolic Faith Church. He was a lover of family with a very close bond with his mother. His heart's delight was his daughter, Thailyn and sister, Monica. Jeffrey was a lover of the Martial Arts. It started in the 5th grade at Kenos Karate School in which he won many awards for his ability. In later years he received his first degree Black Belt at the World Class American Karate School. Two years later he received a second and third degree Black Belt. In 2004, Jeffrey became an instructor and a mentor to his students. His hobbies included working out and maintaining a healthy life style. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his grandmother, Evelina Lee Mason; grandfather, Elder Joseph L. Nevels; and uncle, Kenneth Nevels. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Sharon L. Nevels; father, Michael (Staci) Nevels; daughter, Thailyn; sisters and brothers, Monica Nevels, Donald McGinnis, Jr., Bruce Caldwell, Stacy McGinnis, Tracy McGinnis, and Brandon McGinnis; grandmother, Sarah Marie Nevels; aunts, Sonya Smith, Gayle (Edward) Brown, Jeanette Mason, Carol Nevels, Asenath Nevels; uncles, Keith (Christine) Mason, Alfred (Jacqueline) Nevels, Laurence (Dolorus) Nevels, Jonathan Nevels, Glenn Nevels, Keith (Lisa) Nevels; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, Veda Burgan; cousins and other relatives and friends. Services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 4 p.m. at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307, Dr. Laurence Nevels officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1232 Herman St., Akron, OH 44307. logo
