  • Introduction

Jerome Jay Curl was born on August 9, 1922, in Detroit, Michigan to Hector Halbert Curl (born 1884) and Blanche Edith Winn (1889-1974). He grew up in Detroit alongside his older sister, Harriet Evelyn Curl Laplante (1921-2010). He enlisted in the United States Army in Dearborn, Michigan, serving in the Branch Immaterial - Warrant Officers branch and attaining the rank of Technician 5th Grade. Jerome was married twice in his life. His first wife was Helene Curl (1919-1990), with whom he had one son. In 1983, Jerome moved to Homeland, California, where he spent the remainder of his life. He passed away in Calimesa, Riverside, California, USA in 1996.
