    Jesse Caesaro Scarantino was born to Salvatore Scarantino (1881 - 1956) and Francesca Giambra (1888 - 1968). Both of his parents were born in Italy. Jesse had nine siblings, including: "Joseph" Giuseppe S., Marco "Michael" John, Gino "Eugene", Dino Mario, Bilonia "Mary Bella", Benjamin, Angelo, William and Virgilio, and one half-brother. Jesse married Margaret (born 1917) in 1947. He then married Joan C. Phillips (born 1931) in 1954 in San Bernardino, California. He is buried with Joan and the inscription on their headstone says "Beloved Dad" and "Beloved Mom". in 1972, Jesse and Joan owned a restaurant in Glendale, California, called "Scarantino's Restaurant". As of June 2023, the restaurant is owned by their nephew.
