The family boarded Titanic as 3rd class. On April 14, 1912 the ship struck an iceberg at 11:40 PM. During the time when passengers were boarding lifeboats, and because crewmen wouldn't allow husbands and older sons to board with the women and children. The family managed to stay together until the end. It was unknown where the family remained during the final moments. Some claimed the family remained in their cabin during the sinking.

Jessie Allis Mary Goodwin boarded the Titanic to emigrate to Niagra Falls, New York with her parents and siblings Lillian (16) Charles (14) William (13) Harold (10) Sidney (19 months). . On April 14, 1912 the ship struck an iceberg at 11:45 pm then sank two hours later on April 15th at 2:20 am by splitting in two. Even many lifeboats did not come back to the ship because they didn't want to get swamped. The whole family perished in the sinking,
