Introduction

Jewel was tall with hazel green eyes. He was light complected with red undertones. He was somewhat quite in my opinion yet reserved. He was a very observant man who did more listening than talking.

My grandfather was born to Ellen Redwine who was of German/Native American descent. His father was unknown. He had one brother named Julius. Their mother passed away when they were very young. On the day of their mother's funeral, they were left at the cemetary by their mother's grave as orphans.They were taken in and adopted by an unknown couple whose last name was Jasper. At the age of 14 he was drafted into the US Army. His brother Julius went to work for the railroad and was later killed when someone pushed him from a moving train.
