Jimmy Alphonzo Morgan was born on January 22, 1937 at Born at home in Llano County, Texas United States to Hiram Francis Morgan and Mildred Adell Overstreet, and had siblings Bobby Duane Morgan, Kenneth Morgan, and Francis Jayne Morgan. He married Winnie J Tate, and had children Belinda Faye Morgan, Van Kieth Morgan, and Cynthia Rae Morgan. Jimmy Morgan died at age 77 years old on June 2, 2014 at his home at TMT Ranch, and was buried on June 3, 2014.

In 1937, in the year that Jimmy Alphonzo Morgan was born, on May 6th, the German zeppelin the Hindenburg caught fire and blew up. The Hindenburg was a passenger ship traveling to Frankfurt Germany. It tried to dock in New Jersey, one of the stops, and something went wrong - it blew up. Thirty-six people were killed out of the 97 on board - 13 passengers, 22 crewmen, and one ground worker. The reasons for the explosion are still disputed.
