    Joel Nathan Hammock was born in Columbus, Ohio to Harold & Juanita Hammock. He had 3 siblings: Harold David, James Ralph and Barbara Kathleen. They were all born in Sabina, Ohio during the 1940's. Joel's ancestors were from Kentucky & Tennessee so he was of Appalcian decent.

    Joel joined the Navy following the divorce of his parents. His father signed the paperwork for him to enter; but his mother had legal custody and requested the military release Joel immediately, so they did. His mother moved to Illinois and saw that Joel graduated from high school while there. Afterwards they moved back to Sabina, Ohio

  • Professional Career

    Joel worked a variety of jobs from management at a KFC restaurant in Washington C.H. to working in various factory positions. He loved YUSA and was able to travel to Japan. He obtained a certificate to be a minister and spoke in various nursing homes to the residents. When he became sick, Joel continued to do his best to uplift people and give them hope.

    Joel was married 3 times. Carolyn Mustard gave birth to their son Jason Michael. He later married Teri __________, she gave birth to Curtis. He later married Lanna Michels and she gave birth to Amanda. Joel loved fishing , spending time on his computer and talking with others about their spiritual beliefs and practices.
