  • Introduction

    Born 15 August 1879 at Horsham, Victoria, Australia to Johann Martin Reinheimer & Anna Margaretha Reinheimer (nee Koch). Married Lavinia May Morcom (my great aunt) at her parents' home "Oakleigh House", Dooen, Victoria on the 18th September 1907. Fred Reinheimer was a farmer with a property at Dooen North. The farm produced grain, sheep & cattle and he had a passion for horses. In February 1921 he leased his estate, conducting a clearing sale of stock and plant on 15 March 1921 at Blackheath. He moved to Ballarat, Victoria, with wife Lavinia and their two daughters Florence Marguerite and (Edna) May Victoria Reinheimer. He died at his Gregory Street, Ballarat, residence "Banyenong" on the 9th Dec.1946, aged 68 years and was interred 10 Dec.1946 in the Ballarat Old Cemetery.
