My ancestor Johannes Fahr/ John Fair arrived in Philadelphia in 1751 on the Ship Shriley from Rotterdam Holland. Johannes/John was from the Rhine River Valley in Germany. John became very successful as a weaver and the owner of a grist mill in Berks County Pennsylvania. Johannes married Barbara Wamser and had eight children. There were 7 boys and one girl. All of his children lived to become adults.
My line starts from John's son Marx/Marks who, by the way, fought in the Revolutionary War. Marx and his wife Catherine Moyer had 7 children. His son Daniel, my 3rd great-grandfather, fought in the War of 1812. He and his wife Catherine had three sons. Rebuen was the oldest followed by George W. Fair and lastly Isaac. Isaac is my 2nd great-grandfather. Isaac married Hannah Fegley in 1844 and produced 13 children. Sadly, 5 children died before reaching their 5th birthday. Isaac and Hannah are buried in the Birdsboro Cemetery, Birdsboro, Pennsylvania. Isaac's son Daniel is my great-grandfather. Daniel was born in Birdsboro 1855, which is also the boyhood home of Daniel Boone. Daniel Married Rose Mulligan and had three boys and one girl. Daniel's son George is my grandfather. George married Elizabeth Mack in 1907 and lived in Lebanon Pennsylvania. George and Elizabeth had 6 children. Three boys and three girls. My father was their son, Bernard.
