John Anthony Slish was born to Tony Slish and Blanche Besten. He was predeceased by two sisters, Jane and Helen, and a brother, Joseph. John Slish married Celia T. Kloskowski (1922 - 2015). One son, John, and one daughter, Nancy, survived John. A veteran of World War II, John served in the United States Army.
