    John Dsurney was born in German Hungary in about 1882. On the 1930 United States federal census, John said that his mother and his father were born in Hungary. John Dsurney married Marie Dsurney (born 1893) and they had three sons: George (born 1917), John Jr., and Fred and one daughter. In 1940, John was living in Bloomfield, New Jersey, with his wife, Marie, and sons George and Frederick and daughter Maria. John was a naturalized citizen and working as a gardener.

    JOHN DSURNEY, 91, RETIRED GARDENER Funeral services for John Dsurney of 31 Yorkshire Dr., Cedar Grove were held on Monday in George Van Tassell's Community Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with interment in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. The Reverend Paul A. Laurell, pastor, First Lutheran Church of Montclair officiated. Mr. Dsurney died Friday in Mountainside Hospital, at the age of 91. He was born in Hungary and had lived in Bloomfield before moving to Cedar Grove in 1960. He was a retired gardener. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ross Olcott; three sons, John Dsurney Jr., George P. Dsurney and Fred Dsurney; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. - Verona-Cedar Grove Times (Verona, New Jersey) Thursday, February 14, 1974 on page 6.
