    John E. Hirchak, age 84, of Lovilia, Iowa died Sunday, November 28, 2004 at the Monroe County emergency room in Albia. He was born July 23, 1920 in Sol, Czechoslovakia to John and Anna (Hutta) Hirchak. He married Mary Lou Sinnott on June 27, 1959 in the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Georgetown, Iowa. He was a farmer and had worked at Maytag in Newton for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local 997 in Newton, the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Weller and then later St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia. He was also a 3rd Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 4167 of Albia. John is survived by his wife Mary Lou of Lovilia; two daughters, Julie Newport and her husband Jack of New Sharon, Iowa, and Debbie Jackson and her husband Mark of Albia; four sons, John of Albia, Joe and his wife Cindy of Bussey, Michael of Melrose, and Jim of Lovilia; 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Theresa Boozell of Bloomington, Illinois. He was proceded in death by his parents; and one brother Joe Hirchak.
