The Bowen Independent, Saturday 11 September 1920. DEATH OF ZINGA. A familiar figure in our midst of late years in the person of Zinga, who filled the position of town crier and bellman, passed away on Sunday last at the hospital at the age of 65 years, death being due to yellow juandice, the funeral taking place on Monday. In his younger days Zinga, who was a native of Madagascar, was a circus performer, being a very clever acrobat and contortionist, and travelled the world with some of the best shows on earth. His daughter, whose circus name is Miss May Worth, is one of the cleverest equestriennes in the world, and his son is a chip off the old block, a very clever acrobat and contortionist. He was employed for several years by Mr.C. Johnson, at the Tivoli Pictures.
