    John George Comery was born in 1877 in Pleasley, Nottinghamshire County, England United Kingdom to Daniel Comery (1856-1888) and Elizabeth Miller Comery (1856-1908). He had two siblings Ann Comery (1879-) and Ernest Comery (1883-1912). They grew up in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England. He married Gwendaline (Needham) Comery (1877-1963) in September of 1898 in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England. The couple had children together: Arthur Daniel (1899-1980), Mabel Annie (1908-), Jack Needham (1910-), and Sidney Miller Comery (1912-1996). The family lived in Nottinghamshire, England and later moved to Northcote, Batman, Victoria, Australia around 1937. John Comery died at age 74 years old on March 26, 1952 in Northcote Australia.
