Wife, Sandy Beck Camou leaving a bit of a story about John.
John and I were married in New Orleans on March 14, 1987. We eloped with 12 friends and family and had the best marriage ceremony in the park called Jackson Square. The pastor married us right in front of the Andrew Jackson statue with the huge church in the background. What a fun day with dinner at Antoines' in a private Mardi Gras room full of displayed vintage costumes. We had one son named Jonathan Cody and he is married now to Kayley and they have two adorable and bright children, Riley and Cody. We owned an old plantation doctor's home on Maui and operated that as a bed and breakfast plus we lived in it. John loved it there. He passed away in 2010 and his ashes, but a few, were paddled out and spread on the ocean. He loved to surf. He does have a burial site in the Maui Veteran Memorial cemetery.
