Each day after work and on weekends he would spend his spare time building the field until it was ready to play ball. He volunterred to coach and did so for many years even taking them to the playoffs. After Lynn graduated from high school John gave up coaching to be free to watch his son play for the University of Alabama as a pitcher. He loved to fish and hunt everything; especially with his father. (Deer, duck, quail, rabbit, squirrel, and any other animal that could be hunted). He was a joker and was always playing a trick on anyone around him. He loved his family and friends, of which he had many, and they loved him back.
