John Halbig 1843 - 1938
John Halbig was born on July 29, 1843 in Germany to Joseph Halbig Sr. and Elizabeth (Gabel). He married Catherine Louisa (Mayer) Halbig, and had a child Joseph Halbig. John Halbig died at age 94 years old on February 2, 1938.

John's parents were Joseph Halbig and Elizabeth Gabel on 29 July 1843 in Germany. He immigrated to the US in 1846 and becam a citizen in 1919. John had married twice, his first wife Catherine Louisa Mayer on 25 January 1877 and they had four children together... Mary Agatha born: 1878, Joseph W born: 1880, Caroline born: 1882, Rosa born: 1885. Catherine died 27 March 1887. John then married Katherine Hetchen on 28 June 1887 and they had five children together...John born: 1887, Andrew born: 1888, Christina Eva born: 1889, Anna E born: 1890, Andrew Killian born 1894. Katherine then died 31 January 1937 and John died the following year 2 February 1938.
