John Henry Batte
A very poor photocopy of John Henry Batte, born 1811 in Alsace-Lorraine. Migrated to U.S. from France in 1828 or 1829. Per "Passengers and Immigration Lists Index, 1500's-1900's", a John Batte is named in Ontario between 1835-1840.Norman Laybourn, "L'Emigration des Alsaciens et des Lorrains du XVIIIe au XXe Siecle, Vol. II". Married in 1831 in Buffalo, NY to Anna Leichnam. John and Anna had 12 children, the first 3 born in NY.
Date & Place: at Formosa in Bruce County, Ontario Canada
