He had siblings Stanley (1909-1983), Dorothy (1914-1999), Millicent (1915-2003), Walter (1917-1985), Mary (1918-2003), and Norbert Noreck. At the time of his military registration, he was 21 years old and resided in Albion, Orleans, New York. The registration took place on July 15, 1941, in Orleans, New York. Later on July 10, 1942, John enlisted in the United States Army in Rochester, New York. He married Lorraine Martha Noreck (1924–2021) on June 22, 1946 in Albion, New York, USA and together the couple had two daughters. John worked in the manufacture of paper goods early in his career and later was an employe of the New York State Electric & Gas Corp for many years.

John J. Noreck Obituary
ALBION, Dec. 31 - John J. Noreck, 39, a native and lifelong resident of Albion and for a number of years an employe of the New York State Electric & Gas Corp., died in Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital to. day (Dec. 31, 1959), after short illness.

He lived at 332 E. Park St., and was a trustee of St. Mary's Church, a member of the church and its Holy Name Society and of the St. Mary's Athletic Club, and the Young America Hook & badder Co. of the Albion Fire Dept.

He was a veteran of World War II and served with the United States Army as a radio operator in England and Europe.

He leaves his wife, Lorraine: two daughters. Kathleen and Lynne; his mother, Mrs. Fanny Noreck; three brothers, Stanley Walter and Norbert, all of Albion; three sisters, Mrs. Doro. thy Sullmon of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Howard Crossman of Medina and Mrs. Adolph Morton of Albion, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 25 and 79 p.m. at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home at 12 Ingersoll St., Albion. A requiem high Mass will be cele. brated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Church, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery here.

Third Brother Joins Service
Third son of Mr. and Mrs. James Noreck of Linwood Avenue, Albion, to join the United States armed forces, John J. Noreck was one of 26 Orleans County men to answer the latest call for draftees from the local Selective Service office, according to Myron Babbitt, clerk of the county staff.

First son of the Albion couple to join the armed service of his country was Frank, 24, who enlisted a year and a half ago and is now believed to be stationed in an antitank battalion at Hawaii. He was a member of Company F of the National Guard at Medina.

A month ago Norbert Noreck, youngest son, was drafted and is now located in Maryland. John is 22 years old. Another son, Stanley, is 26, is married and has three children.
