John was my oldest brother out of five boys. At least at an early age, he loved sports - baseball, football, boxing, swimming and so forth. Most of all he loved music. His father passed his older clarinet down to him, which he learned, but he really loved the drums. Add to this guitar, vocals and bass. To the best of my knowledge he played with Johnny Rivers, Gordon Lightfoot -during his Viet Nam era hiatus to Canada - and various Rock bands starting with high school years in Biloxi, Mississippi. He could be mean, but he was also kind hearted and generous, gifting me with at least three guitars during difficult times.
