He had siblings Edna Chamberlain Carey, Alfred Bernard Chamberlain, Morton Glen Chamberlain, Thelma Imogene Chamberlain Tanksley Fuller, and La Nita Chamberlain Jenkins. John Chamberlain died at age 58 years old in September 1971 in Grand Junction, Colorado USA, and was buried at Veterans Cemetary in Grand Junction.
