John Roy Purton 1878 - 1958

John Roy Purton of Footscray Australia was born on March 29, 1878 in Baynton, VIC to James Purton and Margaret (Haylett) Purton. John Purton had siblings Edith Purton, Chtte Purton, George Hay Purton, and James Purton. He married Mabel Emma Metcalfe Purton, and they had children Dorothy Mabel Purton, Aubrey Roy Purton, Geoffrey John Purton, Neil James Purton, Nancy Violet Purton, Gordon Wallace Purton, and Norman Eric White. He would also marry Mabel Emma Metcalfe Purton, and they had children Dorothy Mabel Purton, Geoffrey John Purton, Neil James Purton, Nancy Violet Purton, Gordon Wallace Purton, and Norman Eric White. John Purton died at age 79 years old on January 26, 1958 in Brighton, and was buried on January 29, 1958 at New Cheltenham Cemetery in Cheltenham.
