    John Thomas was my Great Uncle, He was born in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. His Father John Vowles was a journey Blacksmith who was born in Chew Magna, near to Bristol, Somerset. He settled in Barnsley and married a local Girl. The marriage produced 5 Girls and 1 boy, this being John Thomas. I have just started to research John Thomas. I know there is a memorial to him and several other young Men who worked for a local Glass works prior to World War 1. This is now in Barnsley Town Hall, South Yorkshire. Im looking for his death plaque and any possible photographs.
