His mother Martha was born on January 8, 1895 in New York and grew up in Cortlandt, Westchester, New York, USA. She married John on January 25, 1922 in Peekskill, New York, USA. She raised her family there and passed away on March 10, 1974. His father John was born in Yonkers, NY and grew up in Cortlandt, Westchester, New York, USA. After marrying Martha in 1922, he worked as a driver in the fruit industry. He passed away in 1981 at Lake Mohegan.
