Jonathan Youndt was born on November 20, 1776 to Daniel Yundt and Anna Maria (Harver) Youndt, and had siblings Regina (Yount) Cravener, Anna Maria (Yount) Olinger, Katharina (Yount) Farster, and Rachel (Yount) Bouch. Jonathan Youndt died at age 69 years old on January 18, 1846, and was buried in January 1846 at Christ Rupp Lutheran Church 228 Rupp Church Rd, in Kittanning, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania United States.
