Joseph Mario Cunetta Obituary
CUNETTA Joseph Mario, 82, of Mahwah passed away peacefully on May 23, 2009. Born at 314 Linden Blvd in Brooklyn, New York, he lived in Paramus before moving to Mahwah 10 years ago.
He served honorably in the United States Army during World War Il where he was stationed in Hawaii. He married and while raising his five children attended night school receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnical Institute. Prior to his retirement he was an engineer and the owner of ICA Controls in Paramus, a consulting engineering firm. Prior to that he was employed by Bell Labs, AMF, Singer- Kearfott and the Bendix Corp. He was also the manager of the Electrical Engineering Department of Arvin Automation in Cedar Grove.
Joseph was extremely active in various organizations in Paramus, Ramsey and Mahwah, too many to name His attitude towards life was "La Dolce Vita" which means "the good life" Joseph adored his family which meant everything to him and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Beloved husband of 44 years of the late Angela Cunetta (nee De Sisto) (1997). Devoted father of Rose Cunetta of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Nancy De Marino and her husband Leslie of Ramsey, Joanne Stich and her husband David of Ramsey, Nicholas Cunetta and his wife Rosemary of Ram sey and Gina Barbara and her husband Frank of Ramsey. Adorned grandfather of Alissa and her husband Richard, Michael, Jessica, Michelle, Lauren, Robert, Joseph, Dan-iel, Elizabeth, Victoria, Tho mas, Leanne and Michael and great-grandfather of Nina and Jonathan. Dear brother of Anthony Cunetta and predeceased by a sister, Lee Endler.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus with interment to follow. The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Memorial Home, S-113 Farview Ave.. Paramus. In lieu of flowers the lamily requests memorial donations be made in Joseph's memory to the American Heart Association, 1
