Joseph Richard Hayward of Carlton Australia was born in 1876 in Portland, Glenelg Shire County, VIC to Henry Benjamin Hayward and Eliza Emma (Millar) Hayward. He had siblings Emma Hayward, Miranda Hayward, Leura Hayward, James Mays Hayward, Eliza Hayward, Cora Hayward, Charles Stuart Hayward, Agnes Hilmer Hayward, Catherine Stwrt Hayward, Leroy Collins Hayward, Hugh Millar Hayward, and Dorothy Elizabet Hayward. He married Ada Blanche (Yelland) Hayward in 1902, and had children Harold Charles Hayward, Joseph Henry Hayward, and Ada Winifred Hayward. Joseph Hayward died at age 81 years old on November 11, 1958 in Apollo Bay, Colac Otway Shire County.
