Joe was a Marine who served in the Vietnam War. He brought some of that war home with him. After returning home he managed his parents property at 56 Orange Ave, Suffern, NY. He owned and operated an on call truck repair business and a sporting goods store in downtown Suffern, NY. He had one biological son with Laura Jean Romer Scheels.
