Joseph Shepperson Cocks of Hcote Australia was born in 1856 in Heathcote, Greater Bendigo City County, VIC to Robinson Cocks and Mary Anne (Reeves) Cocks. He had siblings Katherine Elizabeth (Cocks) Mcgillivray and John Thomas Harvey Cocks. He married Annie Grace (Bruffell) Cocks in 1878, and had children William Shepperson Cocks, Ethel May Perry, Amy Maud Cocks, Ina Moorabee Patton, and Frances Mabel Cocks. Joseph Cocks died at age 42 years old on January 5, 1899 at Ivy Cottage in Heathcote.
