Joseph Stafford was born in 1865 to John William Stafford and Mary (Prender) Stafford, and had siblings Charles Stafford, Luke Henry Stafford, and John William Stafford. He married Mary (Primrose) Stafford in 1903, and they were married until death separated them. He had a child Mamie Primrose (Stafford) Thomas Payne. Joseph Stafford died at age 73 years old on August 13, 1939 in Prahran, Stonnington City County, VIC Australia.
