In 1909, in the year that Josephine L Westhusin was born, Polish physician and medical researcher Paul Ehrlich found a cure for syphilis, which was a prevalent (but undiscussed) disease. He found that an arsenic compound completely cured syphilis within 3 weeks.

In 1926, at the age of 17 years old, Josephine was alive when on November 15th, NBC was founded. It was the U.S.'s first major broadcast network.
