A School picture from 1934 at Mandeville, Louisiana. My uncle Joseph J. Dash, Jr. is at the far left in the middle row. My mother Josephine Mary Dash is to the right of the teacher in the same row. They were twins born 23 January 1927. Mom contracted diphtheria soon after this and missed school. Uncle also was quarantined from school. Mom pulled through and passed. Uncle got distracted and was held back a year.
