Josephine Goss died at age 58 years old on December 12, 1937, and was buried in Epping Cemetery, Whittlesea City County, VIC Australia.

  • Introduction

    17th December 1937. MRS. JAMES GOSS. The death occurred on Sunday of Mrs. James Goss, aged 59 years, of Epping, after an illness of some weeks. Mrs. Goss was the mother of the late Mr. J. Goss, who was killed in a truck accident early in the year. In former years, Mrs. Goss, who was formerly Miss Madden, was licensee of the old Woodstock Hotel. After it was de-licensed the Goss family farmed for several years at Woodstock, in more recent years taking up residence at Epping, where they lived privately for a time, until Mr. Goss this year undertook the management of a farm. The late Mrs. Goss, was known as girl for her extreme beauty, old residents stating that she was the prettiest girl in the district, as a mother she was untiring in her devotion to her husband and family, while as a citizen she was highly respected in every walk of life. The funeral was held at Epping. 1900. Josephine Madden licensee Manor Hotel, Woodstock. (also known as Johanna )

GOSS. - On the 12th December, Josephine, the dearly beloved wife of James Goss, of Epping, loving mother of Mollie ( deceased ), Thomas ( deceased ), Kathleen, James ( deceased ), Margaret ( Mrs. N. F. Jenkins ), Grace, Irene, Kevin, Evelyn, and Lucy. Aged 59 years.- R.I.P.
