Josephine (Philips) Vassallo was born in 1908 at Malta to Thomas William Lawrence Philips and Carmela Louise Joan Parchelina Gaetana (Camilleri) Philips, and had siblings Antonia Carmela (Philips) Schembri, Mary (Philips) Cacciottolo, and William Philips. She was the mother of Mary Salvina and Joe Vassallo. Josephine Vassallo died at age 29 years old in 1937 in Malta.
