She applied with a Job Search Company, and got hired by a bank in downtown Houston. She worked at this bank for November 1979 until around May 1981. She studied Letters of Credit and became very well verse in this area. She moved to Laredo to continue working in a bank, Laredo National Bank. Sometime after her marriage ended she moved back to Houston and started working at BanMex. She latered moved to Sterling Bank where she did very well.

    Juanita joined a softball team and she was the catcher for her office team. She enjoyed practices and playing with the girls. Everyone was very supportive of her time with the team. She enjoyed Cumbia dancing at El Presidente Ballroom. She attended Guadalupe Catholic Church in Houston. She was religious.
