  • Early Life & Education

Judith spoke Hungarian and English interchangeably, due to her parents being immigrants from Hungary. She attended Nevada Avenue Elementary School in the Canoga Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. She had several cats, which would later be taken in by neighbors after her death.
  • Professional Career

Judith’s mother Maria was determined to have her become an actress, and the odds were in their favor. Around age five, Judith was discovered at an ice skating rink by an agent, who assumed she was a much younger child due to her height. Judith starred in many commercials and had an impressive list of television appearances throughout her short-lived career. By the late 1980s, she had earned enough money through acting to buy the family a modest home in Canoga Park, and was getting more film-related roles. Most notable were her roles in Jaws: The Revenge, The Land Before Time, and All Dogs Go To Heaven. Ironically, several years before her death, Judith starred in the 1984 film series “Fatal Vision”, in which her character was killed by her father.
  • Personal Life & Family

Judith’s father, József, was abusive to both her and her mother. He had been the subject of bullying as a boy due to being “illegitimate”, and began to view women in a degrading and sexist manner, as his mother and father were not together. His first wife Klara divorced him due to abuse he inflicted on her and their two children, Barna and Agi. They fled to the Phoenix region of Arizona, though he followed in their footsteps and became known to friends as “Arizona Joe”. Later, he relocated to the Los Angeles area, and met Maria Benkő, a waitress. They wed in 1977 and had Judith a year later. Joe would soon begin to inflict abuse on his second family. He would abuse Maria, who would struggle to press charges against him, and he went on to receive several DUIs.
