    Judith M. "Judy" Jacops, 69, of West Lafayette, Ohio, passed away at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio, on Friday, January 15, 2010. She was born in West Lafayette, Ohio, on July 29, 1940, the daughter of the late Emmette and Mildred (Ross) Freetage. Judy graduated from West Lafayette High School, and was a homemaker and loving mother. Her family was her life. On October 5, 1962, she married Richard Dean Jacops, who preceded her in death on December 23, 2006. Judy is survived by three children, Malinda Sue Jacops of West Lafayette, Troy (Jayne) Jacops of Fresno, and Keena (Scott) Craigo of West Lafayette; and six grandchildren, Abby Jacops, Daniel Reeve, Jessica Jacops, Nathaniel Jacops, Haydan Craigo, and Kyndal Craigo. Judy is also survived by six sisters, Minnie (Robert) Mathews of Coshocton, Mona Jean Prater of West Lafayette, Bernadine McKnight of West Lafayette, Bertha Hains of Coshocton, Karen (Wayne) Patterson of West Lafayette, and Hilma Wright of West Lafayette; one brother, Jerry (Kim) Freetage of Orient, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Edna Freetage of West Lafayette. Several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends also survive. Judy was preceded in death by two infant brothers; two infant sisters; two brothers, Dale and Darold Freetage; and three nephews. A funeral service will be held at Given Dawson Funeral Home, 419 E. Main St. West Lafayette, Ohio, on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Young officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette. There will be two hours of visitation prior to the service at the funeral home in West Lafayette.
